UPDATED 11/20/2008
Into the 'Winter Mode' since the marina is now closed. Just a few brave ones with boats still in. Not much new to report, although, once I receive Board minutes, I'll put the important data on the website. Please continue to monitor the website all winter long!
Just a bit of advice from the Board. Although it is not illegal to add fuel at the docks, it is against the fire code to fuel a vessel while at mooring and more importantly, it is AGAINST marina rules to fuel boats in the marina! This recently happened at Black River YC with serious consequences.
Board Secretary, Nancy McFadden, wants to know if you are receiving the Board minutes and financials statements on a monthly basis (co-owners). If you are not, please let us know your most recent address and/or email. Nancy mentioned that both these documents are available via email attachement, should you prefer to receive it them that way. Express your preference and information via the 'contact RNYC' page of this website.
Talk about a savings! The Club has a few bubblers that are for sale. These bubblers have a retail of over a $1000 and were used approximately 2 years at the marina to create movement in the marina water. These are now FOR SALE and if you are interested in them, please contact Craig via the "contact RNYC" page. I should have pics by next week. They're currently in the fish cleaning station. Price is $500 each or 2 for $750 or all 3 for $900!!
JUST A LITTLE TIDBIT OF INFO: If you are a slip OWNER, you're entitled to a parking pass that allow you to park FREE in any of the City of South Haven lots, including the beaches! Something great for yourself, or perhaps your renter!
The Board wants everyone to know that if you have a concern about the marina, please send that concern in writing via letter or email to the Board. Individual Board members may not be able to address those concerns, and if they're in writing, prompt attention will be paid to them by the Board. Mailing address is 300 Oak Street, South Haven, MI 49090 or use the "contact RNYC" page in the website. Thanks
Also, any changes in the docks (lowering, widening, etc) require written permission from each adjacent co-owner submitted to the Board for approval before work can be done.
We welcome your comments & suggestions. You can email us on the "Contact RNYC" page. They will be addressed in a timely manner. The purpose of this website is for the betterment of all at River Noire Yacht Club.
